This regional healthcare facility located in Kotzebue, AK serves as the hub for 180 remote clinics in the area. It has a 17-bed inpatient ward, no surgery, and provides outpatient/emergency care to Alaskan Natives. Within the system there is a strong network of Community Health Workers that staff the smaller, remote clinics.
 
Arc Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician or Advanced Practice Provider for locum, temp to perm or perm opportunities. We are also seeking a Medical Director for this location. This position is best suited for an adventurous provider who is confident, clinically capable, personally willing to be flexible, will to get on a plane and work in a remote area and then return to the hospital to provide inpatient services. This position would begin as soon as credentialed and has the possibility of becoming a full-time permanent opportunity for the right match.
 
* 4 week minimum commitment preferred for patient consistency, but can be flexible - Perm opportunities as well
* Support provided by a team of RN, MA, and an expansive network of Community Health Workers.
* EMR is Cerner.
* $135-$150/hour for locum assignment.
* Local housing and transportation is fully arranged and paid for.
 
Clinical Services: Clinical social work, inpatient/outpatient/women's health, midwifery, behavioral health services, dentistry, senior and disability services, suicide prevention, wellness groups, emergency services, WIC, diabetes and nutrition, injury prevention, tobacco prevention/control and more throughout their network of smaller village based clinics. Closest medical center is 550 miles away by air.
 
 


Candidates must be:

* Compassionate, mission-driven social medicine practitioners
* Board-certified in Family Medicine
* Alaskan medical license strongly preferred but not required to start.
