Optum is looking for a full-time Hospitalist to join our team in Glendale and Burbank, CA. The clinicians we seek are those who practice medicine with a focus on patient care, not volume. We want our clinicians to take the time needed to truly address the patient’s needs.

Position Details

  • The candidate would be rounding at Glendale Adventist, Glendale Memorial, and St Josephs in Burbank, CA

  • 7 on 7 off

  • 8-10 night shifts required per month including one weekend

  • Day shift hours are from 7am - 7pm, the night shift is typically from 7pm - 7a

  • Patient census is usually 10 to 15 patients per hospitalist

  • 1 to 2 admissions for the day shift

  • 2 to 4 admissions for the night shift

  • Open ICU

  • No vent management required (intensivist/pulmonologist will be on hand for that)

  • A limited number of procedures required

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience required

  • Unrestricted CA State Medical License

  • Current CA DEA certificate required prior to start date

  • ACGME Residency-trained and BE/BC in Internal Medicine

  • Excellent patient care and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast pace setting; time management skills

  • EMR proficiency

 

Preferences

  • Bilingual Spanish or Armenian
