Join another OBgyn and 3 Midwives in practice located on the hospital campus in SW Michigan. Three Rivers Health is a 60 bed, rural hospital with all the sub-specialties on campus or at our specialty clinic. We are located about 25 miles south of Portage/Kalamazoo MI and not far from the Indiana border. Chicago and Detroit are only 2 hours away. With over 7 lakes and 3 rivers, we have wonderful outdoor activities such as: hunting, fishing, golfing, skiiing (both winter and summer) kayaking, youth camps and parks. Western Michigan University and Notre Dame University along with Community Colleges are within short driving distance.
Wonderful place to start a family or continue raising one as we have great private and public schools to choose from. Churches of all denominations are either in Three Rivers or nearby.
This is a Hospital employed situation, compensation is commensurate with experience and negotiable with CME and CME time off, vacation, benefits for you and your family, relocation and possible loan repayment.
The fully staffed OB/GYN office is on hospital campus and office/OR is 4 days per week, 9-5 with 1 hour lunch, call schedule is 1:2 (usually 1 week on, 1 off, but is flexible) the physician is "back-up" to the midwife, we see 18-25 patients per day on average. We have a level 1 nursery at the hospital and transfer to a larger level 3 hospital nearby. Our total Cesarean rate is approximately 20%, we do not do VBACS, and we have Anesthesia available 24/7. We do approximately 25 deliveries a month. Athena EMR is used the office, and IntelliSpace on Labor and Deliver and McKesson at the hospital.
