J1/H1b: Family Physician invited to modern medical center in beautiful Maine, 1 hr from Portland! Bustling practice, scenic community! - 22149418

Augusta, Maine: We invite a friendly Family Medicine Physician to join a popular outpatient primary care practice based within Maine’s newest hospital – a 192-bed regional hospital in Maine's dynamic capital city, just one hour from Portland. This physician-led medical center is the Kennebec Valley's largest private employer and Maine’s third largest healthcare system, committed to positively impact the health of the community through services and involvement.

Newly residency graduates and physicians requiring J1/H1b visa sponsorship are encouraged to apply.

Practice alongside four physicians and six advanced practice providers in a state-of-the-art environment with all the tools for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment – and an excellent referral network for specialty care as required to provide comprehensive care. Imaging services are located under the same roof. Skilled hospitalists manage all inpatients, though you can follow your own patients if preferred. Mental health services are also available through the group’s psychiatric nurse practitioner and counseling services. Join a respected medical staff that’s adjacent to a walk-in/urgent care center, together serving over 65,000 area residents of the scenic Kennebec Valley.

You can look forward to a broad scope practice caring for patients of all ages, pediatrics through geriatrics, with opportunities to specialize and/or manage procedures. Osteopathic manipulation, sports medicine, minor surgery, medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder, and acupuncture are examples. Offering obstetrics may also be an option, if desired. Enjoy a convenient 4 day/week schedule and comfortable shared phone-only call. This medical center is home to an unopposed Family Medicine Residency Program, so opportunities to teach/precept residents and fellows may be available!
