Practice:

  • Non-profit, tertiary care facility which is a Level III trauma center, but operates as a Level II
    • Largest referral center for Southeast Utah, Southwest Colorado, Northwest New Mexico, and Northeast Arizona 
    • Service coverage area of 250,000
  • Built-in referrals: we are currently getting referrals from 150 to 200 physicians
  • Office: located at the hospital
    • 2 to 3 exam rooms plus 1 procedure room
  • Support staff/equipment:
    • RoboticsDa Vinci, New Olympus scope in office, urodynamic machine, Uro lift, and more
    • 1 MA per provider
    • 2 RNs
    • Scheduler
    • Option for NP/PA once fully ramped
    • Great Interventional Radiology support
  • Schedule: 4-day work week—8 am to 5 pm
    • We average 6 -10 new patients a day 
    • Currently booked out 3 to 4 months
    • Monday: OR day—2 to 3 major cases and 8 to 10 procedures
    • Tuesday: see on average 18 to 22 patients per day
    • Wednesday: OR every other week or clinic
    • Thursday: clinic—see on average 18 to 22 patients per day
    • Friday: administrative day
  • EMR: Epic
  • Call: 1:3
    • Average 0 to 1 call in a night—Hospitalist admitcome see the patient in the morning
    • Called into the hospital 1 out of every 40 shifts
  • H1B cap-exempt facility

Financials:

  • Great compensationdepends and credentials and experience  
    • Contract term: 2 years
  • Sign-on bonus: $20,000 to $30,000
  • Retention bonus/loan forgiveness: $10,000 a year
  • Production:
    • Tier I: quality—$20,000
    • Tier II: wRVU
  • Vacation: 6 weeks
  • CME: $3,000 CME + $2,000 for licensure, dues, and subscriptions
  • Relocation: up to $10,000

  • Malpractice: paid—occurrence—tail coverage
  • Call paid—you are paid after 6 days a month
    • 10 shifts a month = $21,600 annually
