A-Line Staffing is recruiting for a part time permanent Child Adolescent Psychiatrist opportunity in Lincoln Park, MI. They are offering a generous hourly compensation.

 

Child / Adolescent Psychiatrist (Outpatient)

Part time (2 days per week 18 hrs)

Salary - negotiable based on experience, etc.

Lincoln Park, MI

Reports To: Director of Psychiatric Services

 

  • Average patients per day depends how many hours a day they’ll work. 
  •  20 minute med reviews
  • 1 hour Psych evaluations
  • Age range of patients 2-18
  • EMR used is a PCE system called eCRIS
  • Work schedule can be anywhere from 2-days per week – 16 – 18 hours per week
  • Would prefer to be board certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, but years of experience seeing children, and Boarded in Adult is acceptable
  • Acuity of patients is a range, but overall our parents can be the most challenging.  We would want to discuss this topic with the doctor during an interview.
  • We can assist with getting the doctor on panel with Medicaid, Medicare and other insurances. If they are already paneled it is a plus, but not a must.

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Diagnoses and treats patients with mental, emotional, behavioral disorders, and substance abuse.

 

ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Organizes and evaluates data concerning patient's family, medical history, and onset of symptoms obtained from patient, relatives, and other sources such as General Duty Nurse and Psychiatric Social Worker.
  2. Assesses patient to determine general physical condition.
  3. Orders laboratory and other special diagnostic tests and evaluates data obtained.
  4. Determines nature and extent of mental disorder to arrive at a diagnosis and formulates treatment program.
  5. Treats or directs treatment of patient, utilizing variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  6. Participates in daily report and team treatment, plans meetings as well as in-service training, case staffing, case consultation, clinical supervision, utilization review, and other related meeting as needed.
  7. Other duties may be assigned.

 

Knowledge and Education

Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

Two to four years of progressively more responsible experience in a related mental health services field is preferred.

 

SPECIAL EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

State of Michigan Physician's License, Controlled Substance License, DEA Registration.  Completion of Residency Program in Psychiatry.

 

Physical Demands

Occasional requirements:      Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 25 pounds. 

Frequent requirements:        Sitting for long periods of time and walking.

 

SALARY CLASSIFICATION

Rate of pay is determined by contractual arrangement.

 

MENTAL DEMANDS

Occasional requirements:      On-call availability to handle work problems, attend meetings, handle emergencies/crisis situations, etc. at all hours.

Periodic requirements:          Attention to detail/concentration on figures, paperwork, data, etc. Distracting influences such as people, telephone calls, noises and so forth.  Intermittent or cyclical work pressures. Pressures related to meeting deadlines, fulfilling scheduling requirements, etc.
