Job Description:

Department of Behavioral Health is seeking an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology board certified/eligible adult Psychiatrist to work within an integrated multidisciplinary team caring for cancer patients within the Cancer Institute. Responsibilities will include direct clinical care through inpatient consultation-liaison services and ambulatory management of psychiatric, substance abuse, and cognitive disorders as they relate to cancer diagnoses and treatment in Detroit and regionally through telemedicine. 

Qualified candidates will have prior experience in Psycho-Oncology and brief therapeutic interventions for cancer patients and their caregivers. An interest in developing innovative approaches to cancer patient care is desirable. Participation in education and collaborative research is available and strongly encouraged.
