H1b/J1: Family Physician invited to rural all-sports resort area of Maine! Super comp package! - 16582839

Dover-Foxcroft, Maine: An established and respected 25-bed critical access hospital seeks a Family Medicine physician (MD or DO) to join their employed primary care staff.

Experienced and late-career physicians are encouraged to apply!

This is an outpatient-only position, though interested physicians have the option of following their own patients in the hospital if desired.

Physicians interested in offering OB services may do so here – though this is NOT mandatory.

The selected doctor will join an excellent group of practitioners right on the hospital campus, provide care for teenagers to geriatrics, and share phone-only call.

You have flexibility regarding your schedule, and can choose to work 4 or 5 days per week.

This underserved area will support physicians with a J1 or H1 visa.

If selected, you will earna very competitive base salary with incentive bonuses, and a generous benefits package that includes a cash signing bonus, paid relocation and license fees, health and dental insurance, PTO and a budget for CME, a retirement plan with employer matching, and cash to help with student loan debt, if applicable.

If you purchase a home within the designated service area within six months, you may qualify for a $10K bonus to add to your down payment!

Dover-Foxcroft is home to Foxcroft Academy, a nationally ranked prep and boarding school on 125 beautiful acres, as well as an award winning public elementary school.

This rural community is located 40 minutes northwest of Bangor, Maine's third largest city, with shopping malls, a symphony orchestra, and an international airport. Dover-Foxcroft is in the Maine Highlands Region, which features rolling hills plus many lakes and streams, with terrain ranging from farmland to thick woods.

As a result, Dover-Foxcroft draws many recreational tourists, and lucky locals are in a position to choose in-town life, maybe on the river, or several acres with room to roam.

Whether you enjoy camping and hiking, fishing or hunting, kayaking or white-water rafting, or winter sports like skiing, snow shoeing or snowmobiling, this region offers an abundance of outdoor opportunities in every season!
