  • IM/FM: BC or BE, if BE must be within 5 years of residency
  • ACLS: Yes, but has to have BLS to get ACLS
  • Patient census average: 16-18 day/per provider
  • Admit census average: 3-4 day/per provider, 3-4 night/per provider
  • Bed count: 66 beds/8 ICU beds
  • Open/Closed ICU: Open ICU w/ Pulm/CC support
  • Vent management: Yes, short-term, then Pulm will manage
  • Running codes: Yes, first responders, assistance from ER or other specialties with procedures if needed
  • Rapid response: Yes
  • Schedule: 24-hour shift
  • Number of physicians per day shift: 1
  • Number of physicians per night shift: 0 (nights covered by mid-level)
  • Time of Day shift: 7am – 5pm (on-site rounding), 5pm – 7pm (Call pay), 7pm – 7am (shift pay if called in) 
  • Time of Night shift: 7 pm – 7 am (on-call ONLY)
  • Call involvement: No
  • Rotation: 7 on/off rotation STRONGLY preferred
  • Specialty Back-up: Anesthesia on call 24/7
  • Availability: At least 5-6 shifts/month
  • EMR: Paragon
  • Credentialing: 45-60 days
  • Temp privileging: Fast Track IF candidate qualifies – 2 weeks (NO Fast Track if have any malpractice claims). Will give pending in crisis of patient need situations. Gaps on CV MUST be explained in FULL DETAIL. If peers that are provided score an “average” on evaluation; will prevent receiving Temp/Emergency privileges. NEED EXCELLENT REFERENCES.
