ER Doctor Needed to Lead an Emergency Department in WV West Virginia – 30 miles to KY/WV State Line Seeking an Emergency Medicine physician for a Medical Director role on a full-time and permanent basis. The facility is a high-acuity, Level IV Trauma Center that features a 20-bed Emergency Department. 34-hours of daily physician coverage and 36-hours of daily advanced practice clinician coverage. Trauma center is 10% pediatrics with 24-hour radiology reads in-house, bedside ultrasound and helicopter-service. The ED provides excellent specialty backup and offers travel reimbursement (to nearby hospitals) for candidates that qualify. This position requires an ability to intubate patients, place central lines and manage traumas , including chest tubes. Annual patient volume: 31,969 EMR : MedHost Patient per hour rate : 1.7 Admission rate : 20% Flexible scheduling Offering student loan repayment or a lucrative sign-on bonus, relocation incentives offered, paid travel offered, independent contractor status , and paid professional liability insurance.
