This large Indiana metro, about 2 hours from Indianapolis, seeks Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Hospitalists to join a Children’s Hospital. You will join a dedicated inpatient pediatric hospitalist team at this hospital. They have a comprehensive staff of pediatric subspecialists, psychosocial staff, and all standard pediatric supportive services. There will be new program development with the potential for a leadership role. The patient volume is moderate and the hospitalists enjoy the backup of the pediatric critical care team who are at the hospital and able to assess sick patients at night.
As a hospitalist you will be at the hospital during the daytime hours for rounds and you will be available for call from home at night, typically every fourth night. The volume is modest with 3-4 admissions per 24 hours. You will start with 12-hour blocks until the hospital hires more physicians. ?
