One of the leading Academic Centers in the Country, UAB Healthcare System, is recruiting additional cardiologists for faculty and outreach practice opportunities. Community is very important, but UAB’s community extends past the campus limits and the city of Birmingham. We are now reaching into communities in the state where our patients live. UAB is building a new clinic that is slated to be open by fall 2016. This 24,000 square-foot, $9 million facility will offer outpatient care services. The UAB Health System, Division of Cardiology takes care of patients on a regional basis and many of our communities are partnering with UAB to provide care at the local area.
MedPlan is assisting to identify cardiologists with interventional, invasive, non-invasive and EP training. A qualified candidate will have the option to practice in a community based group with a hybrid academic position. The opportunity will include an excellent compensation package, a faculty appointment and the perks of affiliating with a major university healthcare system. The physician will practice in a state-of-the-art cath lab located in close proximity to a brand new medical office building.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic clinical program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing superlative patient care, while advancing the mission of the division, in a supportive and collegial environment.
