Spectra Tech, Inc. has been contracted by National Security Technologies (NSTec) to recruit for the Deputy for the Site Occupational Medicine Director position located in Las Vegas, NV.  NSTec is the primary contractor at the Nevada National Security Site (NNSS) in Las Vegas, Nevada and has operations throughout the United States.  The position below is a DIRECT HIRE opportunity with NSTec and would come with full benefits and a relocation package.

This position serves as the Deputy for the Site Occupational Medicine Director and is responsible for the medical aspects of the company in their absence. Participate in clinical duties as assigned (occupational and non-occupational injury/illness evaluation, triage and treatment, pre-placement, medical surveillance/qualification examinations), oversee and facilitate the implementation of health surveillance criteria, identify and track adverse health effects and facilitate follow-up health evaluations regarding those findings, work closely with Industrial Hygiene staff to stay familiar with worker exposure and monitoring, utilize training and expertise to determine and monitor employee work restrictions, develop support documentation to provide procedure guidelines for best practice functions within the clinical setting, interface with outside departments to provide medical guidance for employee participation in physical fitness activities, and on-call duties for the paramedics and Emergency Operations Center. Manages subordinates in a clinical setting. In addition, this position is responsible for medical aspects of the Human Reliability Program (HRP) and functions as the Designated Physician for 10 CFR 1046.

Take immediate action to correct reported or observed unacceptable environment, safety, health and quality conditions and/or behaviors. Assure that appropriate procedures, training, equipment, warnings, and tools are provided to employees to permit work to be performed safely. Promote and actively participate in the National Security Technologies, LLC (NSTec) safety concept. Support and encourage employee participation in NSTec environment, safety, health, and quality initiatives.

Position requires a MD or DO that is board certified/eligible in Occupational or Aerospace Medicine. Navada license preferred. A minimum of 12 years of clinical experience is required (Occupational Medicine or military medicine experience preferred). Ability to work independently in a clinical setting; experience with program development, design and documentation, basic computer usage, familiarity with electronic medical records, ability to provide disaster preparedness and support for mass casualty events, work with Emergency Medical Service and willingness to work at and travel to remote work location(s). Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license.

An ability to obtain a DOE "Q" security clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter.
